Reading Company freight locomotive, originally designed in 1949, was made in Reading Pa. Tender capacity 10,000 gallons of water & 26 tons of coal.

READING 4-8-4 STEAM LOCOMOTIVE

I made this locomotive as a lathe project using Walnut, Mahogany,Birch and Maple.  Every part is hand made and completely made out of wood except for the front grill. The front curved railing is made from two steam bent toothpicks then glued together.
It is approx 36" long
